El Monte City School District has hired and promoted eight new administrators for the 2020-21 school year, including Columbia School Assistant Principal Rosemary Garciduenas.
Garciduenas has worked for El Monte City School District for 24 years, most recently serving as Gidley School’s assistant principal for two years. Previous administrative posts include teaching assistant principal and summer school principal. Starting in 1997, Garciduenas taught at the elementary and middle school level at Cortada and Wright schools.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in behavioral science, Master of Arts in educational leadership and administrative services credential from Cal Poly Pomona.
“My goal this school year is to provide the Columbia staff with the support, guidance and leadership needed to meet the academic and social emotional needs of our students in a successful distance learning program,” Garciduenas said.
